“Not all coughs are caused by COVID-19! STOP THE STIGMA"
Ghana National TB Voice Network partnered with Trinity Xcel to develop an animation video to raise awareness on the Covid-19 pandemic and to educate people to be more tolerant and receptive towards people who suffer from the disease to eliminate stigmatization.
TB Voice Network recognized animation videos are fun to watch, and the organization chose to use animations instead of real-life characters because it will eliminate any possibility of stigmatization.
The animation video addresses the issue of stigmatization in a common setting in Ghana’s communities where a cab driver orders a passenger out of his vehicle half way into the journey upon discovering that one of the occupants of the car had just recovered from Covid-19. The video ends with things taking a turn and the driver later showing symptoms of Covid-19 himself.
TB Voice Network plans to promote the video on social media to reach as many young people as possible and will like to thank Treatment Action Group (TAG) for their financial support in the production of the video The animation video has been disseminated with partners and on social media (FACEBOOK,
WHATSAPP, TB VOICE YOUTUBE CHANNEL). We have been able to reach over 100,000.00 people with the message and we are yet to air on TV
